New Look.

Same Vision.

In 2013, Judy Kahrl convened a group of friends around her kitchen table with a vision: to ensure that elder voices were included in the reproductive rights issues facing people in Maine.

Going back to our roots.

Over the past 12 years, that vision has grown - expanding in numbers, deepening in reach, and shaping the guiding principles that have defined our work.

We are proud to have joined in Judy’s vision, and thanks to the amazing staff, volunteers, and partners have accomplished so much in Maine and beyond.

However, GRR! is now returning to its original roots: a small, volunteer-led organization that will mobilize and champion the work of elders in advancing reproductive freedom for all.

GRR! is not going away!

Rather, as we recognize the financial challenges facing us, as well as so many reproductive organizations at this time, we are rightsizing ourselves to be sustainable for the long-term to carry on Judy’s work for years to come.

This is not a farewell. Although we are temporarily pausing the acceptance of donations as we determine our next steps, we will be in touch in the future to share how you can continue to engage in and support our work.

In the meantime, we are working to make sure that the stories so many have shared about their abortion experiences will be available for all to see.

As we undertake this transition, we encourage you to stay engaged in the reproductive justice movement: amplify the voices of older activists, advocate for equitable policies, and support frontline organizations in your area.

Thank you for your support and for advocating for all that Judy and the staff and board of GRR! continue to strive for: reproductive freedom for all.
